the silence is almost unbearable
[Carlisle’s office has always been his private area for thought and study, progress and prayer. However it is designed, bookshelves take up much of the walls, which are laden with novels and other books of all sorts. Oil paintings decorate, detailing in fantastic histories, most of which tie-in with the owner of the home. Candles and firelight are what usually provides light, though he has dabbled with electricity at times - this is one of those times, though he still prefers the more traditional sense.
Carlisle himself is almost always found in here when he is not at the hospital, pouring over texts, writing in his journals, or at times, even in deep prayer. At this moment, he can currently be found seated behind his desk, peering thoughtfully at the medical journal before him
practically begging for an interruption. He has spent centuries with his nose buried within textbooks - speaking with people - with family, perhaps? - is something he very much enjoys.]
